About Cases in use
Connect Russian noun forms to three useful tasks: naming an action’s object, locating people and things, and saying who has or lacks something.
Identify what an action affects
Accusative practice distinguishes a sentence’s subject from its object, including common noun endings, animate masculine objects, and object pronouns. Form choices follow the role rather than the English word order.
Name a location without confusing it with a destination
Location phrases pair a place with its usual preposition and prepositional form. Compare where something is with a destination, and recognize that movement inside a place still describes a location.
Keep the possessor and the item separate
Possession uses one phrase for the person who has something and another for the available or absent item. Practice positive existence, negative absence, and questions about availability or ownership.
